Description

Advantage is a once a month topical flea treatment for cats and kittens over 8 weeks or older and dogs and puppies 7 weeks or older. This product kills 98-100% of the fleas on cats and dogs within 12 hours. Comes in the following sizes - Small Dog Green- for puppies over 6 weeks and small dogs up to 10lbs; Medium Dog Teal for dogs 11-20lbs; Large Dog Red for dogs 21- 55lbs and Extra Large Dog Blue for dogs over 55lbs; Small Cat Orange for cats and kittens up to 9lbs; Large Cat Purple for cats over 9lbs.

Directions
Place the applicator tip through the animals hair to the skin level. On cats, apply to skin on neck at the base of the skull. For dogs up to 20 lbs, apply to skin on back between the shoulder blades. For dogs 21 lbs or over apply the contents of one tube to 3 or 4 spots along the skin on back from the shoulder to the tail. Do not get this product in the pet's eyes or mouth.

Cautions
This product is for external use on dogs 7 weeks or older and cats 8 weeks or older. Consult a veterinarian before using on medicated animals, animals using this product with other pesticides, and debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals. This product causes eye irritation in humans and is harmful if swallowed. Avoid contact with skin. Call poison control center if swallowed. If on skin, wash with plenty of soap and water. If in eyes, flush with plenty of water.

Smelled weird... - This stuff seemed to work just fine, but for some reason it smelled SO STRANGE and a lot stronger than the usual scent of other stuff I used to get. Not sure why, but it worked fine anyways.

Good Deal, Buy More And Save - I have tried many flea formulas this one works the best for cats, I have had some "burn" my animals skin, this one does not. Easy to apply, wash hands after use.

This is Advantage - NOT Advantage II - We've purchased advantage products many times. Very happy with the results. Keep in mind that this is NOT Advantage II. We got a little fast with the clicking on to reorder this year's meds, meaning to order Advantage II but ordered this by mistake. Still, both products work great! Additionally, this seller shipped quickly which is alway appreciated. Bottom line: Great Product - Works quickly to eliminate fleas - but keep in mind this is Advantage Purple - NOT Advantage II Quick Shipment - This seller delivered quickly! Prick is OK - Given this is not Advantage II, most likely can find this same product for less elsewhere Happy? - YES

Best Bet for Cats - My vet recommended Frontline which did not get rid of fleas for my two cats. I started using Advantage which works perfectly. My cats do not have any flea issues. Great Deal on Advantage - We have large three cats in our household - all of whom have access to the outdoors. Our neighborhood is rich with wildlife - squirrels, raccoons, skunks and possum, in addition to other neighborhood pets. Fleas had always been a problem in the past, however since we began using Advantage, our house has been virtually flea-free. This offer was particularly enticing because the price was considerably lower than what we could find locally. The package containing two six-packs of Advantage arrived within 3 days of ordering.
